A: Chuango Wireless Signal Repeater RT-101 is designed to increase the transmission range of the Wi-Fi alarm system. The Repeater receives the signal from a distant transmitter (e.g. a PIR or Door/ Window Contact or Remote Control, etc) and re-transmits the signal to a Chuango alarm hub. The Repeater works only with the Chuango Alarm hub together and cannot be used independently.
Ideally, the Repeater should be installed mid-way between the transmitting device and the alarm hub.
Q: How to connect Chuango Wireless Signal Repeater RT-101?
A: If you want to increase the distance between wireless sensors/ remote controls (e.g. a PIR or Door/ Window Contact or Remote Control, etc) and the alarm hub, you only need to pair the repeater with the distant transmitter.
Pairing method:
1. Press the learning button on the repeater, the blue and green indicator lights flash alternately.
2. Trigger the sensor/ remote control once.
3. The repeater emits a long beep indicates the pairing is successful.
If you want to increase the distance between the hub and the wireless siren(s), you need to pair the repeater with the alarm hub.
Pairing method:
1. Press the learning button on the repeater, the blue and green indicator lights flash alternately.
2. Tap on the Arm button on the DreamCatcher Life app.
*Note: Do not press the Arm button on the remote control which has been connected to the hub.

A: Chuango Wireless Signal Repeater RT-101 can spread your signal much farther. The receiving distance of the signal repeater is up to 90 meters in open spaces, while the forwarding distance is up to 200 meters. Walls, ceilings, columns, beams, and other objects between Hub and the detector can weaken the radio range.
Q: Does Chuango Wireless Signal Repeater RT-101 still work when the power goes out?
A: Yes. The repeater has a built-in rechargeable battery, which can be used on standby for approximately 24 hours when the power is off.
