Q: What is Chuango Wireless Keypad KP-700?

A: Chuango Wireless Keypad KP-700 can be installed inside or outside the home and allows the user to arm, disarm, home arm after inputting passcode.


Q: How to connect Chuango Wireless Keypad KP-700 to WiFi Alarm OV-300/LTE-400?

A: 1. Tap on the plus “+” icon on the WiFi Alarm page to add a security accessory to the WiFi Alarm.

2. Input user code or admin code on the keypad and then press any button of “Arm”, “Disarm”, Home Arm”.

*Note: The default user code is 1234; The default admin code is 123456.

3. One beep is heard. The connection succeeds.


Q: How to change the user code for Chuango Wireless Keypad KP-700?

A: 1. Input admin code # to wake up the keypad. 

2. Press 3 to enter the setup state. The LED indicator is on.

3. Input *8*new user code*

* Note: User code is 4 digits; the default user code is 1234.


Q: How to change the admin code for Chuango Wireless Keypad KP-700?

A: 1. Input admin code # to wake up the keypad. 

2. Press 3  to enter the setup state. The LED indicator is on.

3. Input *9*new admin code*

* Note: Admin code is 6 digits; the default admin code is 123456.

Q: How far can Chuango Wireless Keypad KP-700 be away from WiFi Alarm OV-300/ LTE-400?

A: The maximum distance between the Hub and the keypad can reach up to 80 meters in open spaces. Walls, ceilings, columns, beams, and other objects between Hub and the detector can weaken the radio range. Therefore, we suggest using the Test Mode in the DreamCatcher Life app after installation to confirm that the hub can successfully receive the signal from wireless detectors.

In the test mode, you will see the signal strength of the connected keypad. If the signal is too weak, it is recommended to purchase a signal repeater RT-101 to extend the range.


Q: How does Chuango Wireless Keypad KP-700 remind me when the battery is low?

A: If the Chuango Wireless Keypad KP-700 is connected to Chuango WiFi Alarm OV-300/ LTE-400, you will receive a push notification via the DreamCatcher Life app, when the battery is low.
