How to set up Chuango Wi-Fi Alarm LTE-400?

Plug in the power, wait until the WiFi indicators start blinking. After logging into the DreamCatcher Life App, tap on the plus sign "+" on the home page, or in the upper right corner if you are already a proud owner of other compatible Chuango products. Select "LTE-400".

There are ways to add Chuango WiFi Alarm LTE-400 to the DreamCathcher Life App: AP Mode and SIM Card Config. It is recommended to select AP Mode to complete the configuration.

 

AP Mode


1. Turn your Chuango WiFi Alarm LTE-400 upside down. Rapidly press the Wi-Fi Configuration button 5 times and you will hear one beep. The status indicator light is alternating between blue and red, then press "Confirm".


2. Enter your WiFi password. Then, tap on "OK".

 * Note: Chuango cameras do not support 5GHz WiFi networks. Please make sure your available network is on the 2.4GHz band.

3. Tap on "Connect" and "Join" to connect your new Wi-Fi Alarm to your Wi-Fi network. If you are an Android user, it can be directed to your phone’s Wi-Fi settings. If so, select "LTE-400 Alarm".


4. Return to the DreamCatcher Life App and select "Next". Wait until the configuration is 100% completed, and then tap on "Done". Congratulations! Your Chuango WiFi Alarm LTE-400 is ready for use.

SIM Card Config


1. First prepare a 4G SIM card in regular size and insert it into the hub’s SIM slot.


2. Turn your Chuango WiFi Alarm LTE-400 upside down. Rapidly press the Wi-Fi Configuration button 5 times and you will hear one beep. The status indicator light is alternating between blue and red, then press "Confirm".


3. It will be directed to your phone’s Wi-Fi settings. Please select "LTE-400 Alarm".


4. Return to the DreamCatcher Life App and select "Next". Wait until the configuration is 100% completed, and then tap on "Done". Congratulations! Your Chuango WiFi Alarm LTE-400 is ready for use.

  


If the SIM card config fails, you might need to fill in the APN settings of the card.

*Note: The APN setting varies from country to country. Please consult the local operator on how to set the APN correctly.
